What We Do

Our programmes are designed to operate across the humanitarian–development nexus, linking emergency response with long-term, community-led solutions that reduce vulnerability and strengthen local capacity.

As an emerging organisation, Three Pines is building its programme portfolio deliberately—piloting integrated interventions, learning from practice, and scaling what works in partnership with others.

Program Areas

Humanitarian Assistance and Early Recovery

We provide timely, needs-based support to communities affected by crises, with a focus on protecting life, restoring dignity, and enabling early recovery. Our humanitarian work is designed to connect households to longer-term support and reduce the risk of repeated vulnerability.

Community Resilience and Adaptation

We support communities to anticipate, withstand, and recover from social, economic, and environmental shocks. Our approach emphasises locally led resilience and adaptation measures that strengthen preparedness and adaptive capacity over time.

Livelihoods & Skills Development

We promote sustainable livelihoods and economic inclusion by supporting skills development, income-generating activities, and pathways to self-reliance—particularly for women and youth.

Access to Basic Services

We work to improve access to essential services that underpin human dignity and well-being, including education, health, water, sanitation, and community infrastructure, through community-centred and partnership-driven approaches.

Community Capacity & Local Institutions

We strengthen grassroots organisations, community leadership, and local institutions to plan, manage, and sustain development gains. Strong local institutions are essential for resilience that endures beyond individual projects.

How we Work

We work with communities as partners, not beneficiaries. Programmes are co-designed with local actors and delivered in collaboration with civil society organisations, faith-based institutions, and public authorities. Across all our work, we prioritise local leadership, accountability, and learning.

Across all programme areas, Three Pines is committed to:

  • Community participation and ownership
  • Equity and inclusion
  • Accountability and ethical resource use
  • Learning and continuous improvement
